great authentic Greek food, with basic American options as well! fair pricing, fast and super friendly service. The owner is usually always there and he truly treats you as a friend. awesome place to go, if you're looking for somewhere new!

First the bad. Even though the tzatziki is good. The gyro was drowned in it. The beef skewer was tough even though the lamb was good. My over all problem was not that the food was bad. The Octopus was the best I have EVER HAD. Not one bit chewy or tough. But that small portion was $8. The savory Fillo pastry dish was $1.25 a piece, and the were two small bites at best. Each skewer was $3. The price to portion ratio is TERRIBLE. I'd give service 4 stars, flavor 4 stars, but the price for our meal which was mostly apps was $30 and that was with a standard 20% tip. $30 for a light snack is a but outrageous. If I get a big tax return at the end of the year I'll come back.

I was a little disappointed with this place and the food. I've had plenty of authentic Greek food in my life - at high-end restaurants and fast food joins - and this just wasn't up to snuff. Everything was fresh and had decent flavors, however, there were a few things that were very disappointing. Saganaki Appetizer - Please, please, PLEASE invest in a better option for lighting the Saganaki than the BIC graffiti lighter your waitress pulls out of her back pocket. This is just NOT ok. Other than the lighting-method, the cheese itself fell short. It was a little tough and chewy. Greek Salad - Delicious and fresh. No complaints here. The pineapple is a unique, but welcomed, addition that I was not expecting. Gyro Dinner - The Gyro meat itself was great. The tzatziki sauce, however, was not that great. I wish the restaurants of Fort Wayne would STOP using sour cream in their tzatziki. That's not authentic and you miss the tang from the yogurt when you do this. Overall, it was just so disappointing flavor-wise. Greek Style Green Beans - I ordered these at the recommendation of my server, and she needs to stop recommending them if this is what they taste like regularly. They were SWIMMING in oil. I ate two bites and just couldn't do it. It was like a big bowl of mushy green beans, swimming in oil and mushy onions and tomatoes. I would think the tomatoes would brighten up the dish a bit, but the thick oil along with the feeling that everything's been simmering all day long gave an overall mushy, musty, over-cooked taste to everything. Pita bread was standard, rice was good. The place is clean and the servers always have a smile on their face. I'm not sure we'll return though.

It was my first visit, won't be the last! Nico personally greeted us at the door, which was such a treat. What a nice man! Breakfast, lunch, or dinner is available any time! We ordered Gyros with fries for lunch, and they were excellent! Brought to us quickly, and they looked beautiful. I loved how thin the meat had been sliced. The pita was fresh as could be, and the sauce was cool and tasty. The fries were obviously fresh-cut, hot, and tasty. The server was friendly and prompt, and Nico came back to check on us twice, and we also had a friendly chat to boot. Yummy food, and a great atmosphere. Next time I'm in Ft. Wayne, I'll be back.

The omelettes here are the best! And the pancakes are so good as well as they are like at least twice as thick as regular pancakes. And Niko the owner is always so friendly and hospitable and makes sure you are comfortable and happy with your meal.

I have been on a few dates here. The food is always good and the service is fairly prompt. The owner enjoys coming out and talking to everyone. The atmosphere is calm and quiet and it's never been super busy when we've come. Try the Tiropitakia as an appetizer. :)

Love this place! The food - GREEK - is excellent and quality is consistent. It is one of our regular stops. The lentil soup is delicious and the specialty plates are more then I can eat. Tonight had lamb souvlaki and it was so tasty. Just the right size. The tzatziki is made fresh daily and so good. In fact, most things are made fresh daily. You won't be disappointed by the gyros. There are also some American selections, but why bother. You can get that stuff anywhere. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we like all three meals. Try the saganaki (flaming Greek cheese.) The prices are very reasonable. If you are disappointed in any way, Nikos will do his best to make things right, including recooking if necessary. Nikos greets patrons as they enter with a hand shake and you leave feeling you have a new friend. Nicely decorated, plenty of room and a pleasant atmosphere. They even plan Greek music in the background.

One of my favorite places in the Fort. Hands down, the best Lentil soup I have ever had. The service is always solid and Niko is a great guy.

Greek food is underrepresented in the cuisine arena. With the amazing variety of ingredients, preparations, and flavors I'm always surprised to find merely one or two small proprieties locally who offer an authentic taste of Greece. So whenever I DO find one I make sure to stop in and check it out! At first glance, Friends Too is a nice diner-style restaurant with plenty of natural lighting and clean accommodations. The service staff was quick to seat my wife and I and the owner, Niko, even stopped by to ensure we were comfortable. The menu very well done, included pictures, and many of the items were displayed with their native names (along with an English translation). There were many items I had never heard of, let alone tried, and I found it difficult deciding on courses. After choosing the soup, Greek salad, vegetarian sampling platter, and the braised lamb chops we decided that we needed to make a few more visits to satisfy our curiosities. Everything was FANTASTIC! Flavors were complex without being too challenging and the presentation was five star. Philo dishes were light and crispy and the meat was fork-tender. My only criticism was that the baklava was a little tough to chew because the philo layers had cemented together from the honey and butter. After dinner, Niko returned to ensure that everything was to our liking and we even spent another half-hour discussing Greek politics on the world stage. All in all, Friends Too exceeded our expectations and we left very satisfied. If you need a unique and exciting place to take a business associate or hot date you should definitely stop by Friends Too!

7 business associates and I went there for lunch on a Tuesday at noon. We had a reservation. We were seated immediately and greeted by the owner. Very nice. Drinks were delivered quickly, and then there was quite a wait for our food. The food came out of the kitchen at different times. The diners at my table that got their food first opted, politely, to wait for everyone's food to be delivered before they began eating. Unfortunately, their food was cold by the time they got to eat. There was about a 15 minute difference between the first and last order being delivered to our table. Also, none of us were asked or given drink refills. The food was ok. I hate to say it, but I got a skillet that is much better at the other Greek restaurants in Fort Wayne.

It pains me to write a bad review for this place because the owner is such a fun character to talk to, but the food is (1) really heavy and (2) really bad quality. My chicken souvlaki had the bounce of gummi bears. My husband's chicken fried steak was a huge portion (picture JUMBO pancake in diameter) of really poor quality meat. He could not tell if it 'started out' as steak!? Because the portions are so large, and the owner so actively mills around checking on all the tables, ("It's good, isn't it. I just had it myself today. It's the best."), my husband resorted to child-like antics by hiding my chicken gummies under his mashed potatoes - so it would look like we'd eaten more than we did! (Yes, you have to laugh.)

Great food and great prices that won't break the bank. Fabulous home made french fries, Greek and traditional American food can be found here. The owner personally greets you and shakes your hand when he is around. If you leave here hungry it's your own fault.

We stopped here while we were out running errands in the area. Inexpensive with friendly staff and good food. Food arrived fast and hot. Casual place with mixed Greek and American menu. The hubby had breakfast and I had the Gyro. If you don't want lots of taziki sauce on the gyro ask for it on the side or for them to go light since they have a heavy hand with the sauce. We'd def stop back here.

Niko, the owner, greets patrons like family. The restaurant is often crowded, especially for weekend breakfast. Good dishes to try are the lamb chops, the avogolemono soup, and the Greek salad. The grilled potatoes and pita bread with tzaziki are good too. However, often the food is greasy: as was the case for the breakfast omelette, the green beans, the Greek style ribs, and the spaghetti. The chicken souvlaki are tough and dry. The lamb souvlaki is much better.

We had dinner here on Friday night. We got right in and and served quickly. The food was good and servers were very friendly. However, it seemed a little pricey for the quality of the food. It was good, but not outstanding. It was also pretty empty for a Friday night and most of the patrons were olderl
